Well, I’have been in the fitting room of Jules, and the small magazines on the banc gave me the idea of writing this article.
I have the experience like every else that when you are trying the new clothes in a store, I’m sure of these 2 things:
- You will EASILY find a pile of clothes and trousers waiting to be arranged.
- You will CERTAINLY think of whether they suit you, too.
- You will EAGERLY know who has tried them.
Well, that’s exactly the same concept like the famous Amazon recommendations:
![]()
and as we all know that 35% of Amazon Sales come from cross-sells & recommendations.
Of course, the online retailers’ advantage of tracking and analysis of users’ data is unrivaled by the brick and mortar, but why not try the following things:
- Put the best selling items in/around the fitting room ON PURPOSE according to the past sales data.
- Make the items (have been tried by others) ARRANGED and ORGANISED instead of leaving a loose mountain of them.
- Put some brochures or even FREEBIES, SURPRISE GIFTS in the dressing room: an attemp to make the story spread.
What’s your opinion?
